Step 4

This is the step where I did all the Connie faces.
I generally hate shading metals, but got the hang of Connie shading pretty quickly. I simply laid in some white as a background color, filled the center with a light gray-purple shade, and then used the Brush tool to blur some white back over the gray-purple.
You can also see that I dropped in the shading on Connie Mark 2 and COF2E2.
This is also where you can see my Completely Ingenious Solution to the Colossal Boy coloring. I selected all his blue and red bits and did a linear gradient across his body, which brightened the colors right down the center of his body. This brightened the blue behind Cyclops, and darkened the blue behind Captain America, causing them both to pop ahead of Colossal Boy while giving CB the appearance of being the right colors. Plus, doing that dropped the red behind the other front characters in all the right places.
